Innovative manufacturing and technical know-how enable us to produce expansion joints of all sizes and shapes (circular, rectangular, oval). kompaflex is the inventor of multi-ply expansion joints in all shapes, such as rectangular and oval, with only one weld seam in the non-critical longitudinal area.

Innovative approaches and technical expertise allow us to find suitable solutions for the most demanding applications regarding movement, pressure, temperature and media. As a result, our expansion joints offer advantages such as reduced stresses, high flexibility, compact design, leak-tightness control, lower spring rates, and a longer lifespan.

The development and design of our products take place in the design department of kompaflex Switzerland.

kompaflex offers a wide range of standard expansion joints with diameters ranging from 15 millimeters up to 12000 millimeters, according to common standards. Different connection types can be combined. To meet the high demands of our customers, kompaflex maintains an extensive material stock of various materials, including special alloys, which enables the immediate start of production.

We have developed high-pressure expansion joints in various sizes and successfully tested them up to 720 bar g pressure. Thanks to the unique combination of multi-ply bellows and reinforcement rings, we achieve very high stability under pressure. For corrosive or abrasive media, kompaflex offers multi-ply expansion joints with an inner layer made of corrosive-resistant high-nickel alloys such as Inconel or Hastelloy. The remaining piles of the bellows, with no contact to the medium, can be formed from standard stainless steel.

kompaflex expansion joints and bellows are used in petrochemicals, heating and cooling technology, power plants, steel mills, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and shipbuilding. kompaflex is highly experienced in the production of expansion joints and bellows for ultra-high vacuum applications, fusion reactors and cryogenics. Our expansion joints are widely used in renowned research institutes and facilities.
